Intensive Driving Courses
Advice for learner drivers
You may wish to learn to drive as quickly as possible, it may be because a job depends upon you holding a full licence, or you may have been learning for a while with lots of breaks and feel you require to be more focussed; perhaps you have been able to take a week or two away from a busy work schedule. You may simply want to enjoy the independence that driving brings as soon as you can.
We offer intensive driving courses in Weymouth, Dorchester, Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Southampton, Winchester, Fareham and Portsmouth, as well as in the rest of Dorset and Hampshire.
Intensive driving courses usually consist of twenty hours (but also see below) with your instructor and are usually completed over one or two weeks. However this is flexible and may be structured according to your own needs. Should you wish to miss out days or arrange additional hours within a day, this can be accommodated. If you are employed during normal working hours, you may wish to take time off for your intensive driving course. We can therefore arrange your twenty hours over five days. Your course can be arranged anywhere in Dorset or Hampshire whether you are in Dorchester, Poole, Bournemouth or Southampton.
Please note, if you are an experienced learner and have already booked your test your fee will of course not include your test fee and we are happy to charge you for the hours that you do. Unlike other companies who are not flexible we can do less than 20 hours, if that's all you need charging you only for what you have done.
Assuming you have a provisional licence we recommend that you start with us immediately whether or not you have passed your theory. Once you have passed the theory, we book your practical (during the course) and will ensure you receive as early a test date as possible. You may also wish to book a course to finish at the time of your test, however if you are a beginner it is not likely that you will be ready for the test after just twenty hours unless you are highly motivated and a very fast learner. In this instance you will not get your test fee back if you are unable to reach the standard required to pass the test in the short space of time that you have allowed for your training.
